Position Summary /Requirements: Provide psychiatric and medication evaluations. Provide consultation for behavioral health related issues. Provide direct clinical services to children, adolescents and adults. Good crisis intervention / de-escalation skills. Ability to relate effectively to difficult clients, including mentally ill, chemically dependent, and other homeless individuals. APRN-RX Behavioral Health Background required. Education Requirement: Degree in medicine; successful completion of psychiatric residency. For Child psychiatry, specialized residency in this area is required. Board certified and ability. Licensed to practice in the State of Hawaii.

Position Summary /Requirements: Provides all aspects of basic WIC client services competently and efficiently as a paraprofessional certified program assistant. Able to perform the basic responsibilities of the WIC Nutritional Aide I/II including breastfeeding promotion and basic education. Support the mission, goals and objectives the KPHC-WIC program. Be able to do the Basic WIC Certification and Education. (PCPA) tasks. Provide clerical/office support. Show respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; educate others on the value of diversity; promote a harassment free environment. Educational Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent. Obtained “Paraprofessional-Competent Professional Authority” Certification from State WIC Program.

Position Summary/Requirements: (60%) Act as the primary backup to the front desk worker in his or her absence. Checks in Behavioral Health patients and guides them to provider offices. Operate phone system, answering general inquiries, triaging calls, and making future appointments. Confirm patient appointments each day. Input new and update existing patient’s information in Centricity. Use previous system, Medical Manager for aged information and enter into Centricity as needed. Generate encounter forms from Centricity for providers and follow agency process for proper billing. Care Manager Duties (40%) Assist providers with patient medication refills; ensuring medication log is up to date; preparing prescriptions for doctor’s signature, and ensure medications are authorized by insurance. Assist providers with patient medication refills and prepping medications, including placing pills in pill bottles. Screen patients at the primary care level for behavioral health needs using standardized screening tools (PHQ, PSC, etc.). Manage Drug inventory. Dispense medications upon doctor’s orders. Educational Requirements: Associates degree in Medical Assistance and National Certification or MA Certificate with 3+ years medical and/or behavioral health experience required. 1-3 years working in a medical office or clinic required with front and back off experience. Prior experience with behavioral health environment preferred. Experience working with Centricity or other practice management software preferred.

Position Summary/Requirements: Provide assistance and consultation to the Health Care for the Homeless Project team to effectively serve clients at all levels of their recovery process. One or more years in recovery as a consumer of mental health services. Educational Requirement: High School diploma or GED equivalent. Training in substance abuse/dual diagnosis preferred. Certified as a Peer Specialist by the Adult Mental Health Division.

Position Summary/Requirements: The Medical Director holds a senior leadership position and is responsible for directing medical services and provides medical oversight to KPHC’s Directors and Departments. Provides clinical leadership for the Center’s medical programs. Supervises and evaluates performance of all medical providers and others who report to him/her, either directly or through subordinates. Provides guidance to the Health Center’s Management in developing and improving patient care services and techniques in accordance with Community Health Center guidelines and in keeping with scientifically based primary health care standards. Prepares Medical Director’s report to the Center’s Board of Directors as requested. Works collaboratively with the Performance Improvement Coordinator to assure the ongoing implementation of a comprehensive quality improvement program, sustaining a high level of service quality. Provides professional liaison with outside patient care providers and organizations, and with health professions training programs and research projects. The incumbent is expected to provide direct patient care services (at least 8 hours per week) in his/her respective specialty area. Professional Experience: Applicants should have at least three years of experience in clinical practice, and experience in medical management. Experience working in a Section 330 Funded Community Health Center is preferred. Educational Requirements: Requires Doctor of Medicine degree, Board eligible or Board certified in a primary medical care specialty. Family Practice is desirable. Applicants must be eligible for licensure to practice medicine in the State of Hawaii.
